Time goes by so fast and I particularly felt that 2015 was a very short year. However, it definitely offered me enough time to figure out one or two things about this weird thing called life and about myself.

Today I am definitely not the same girl that I was 1 year ago. With its ups and downs, its laughs and its tears, 2015 was a joyful roller coaster full of moments that brought me here with quite a few lessons learned …okay, maybe I'm still working on some, but you get my point. Big things, small things, it's always nice to look back and realize you got something out of the past 365 days.

  1. If you know you will regret not doing it, do it.
  2. Absolutely everything, good and bad, is temporary. Enjoy the sunshine while it lasts and when it rains, don't worry, it never rains forever.
  3. It's better to have a half-full glass than a half-empty one. Having a positive attitude attracts positive things into your life.
  4. It's extremely important to make time to tell your love ones that you love them. Do it often.
  5. One should never be afraid to be the one who cares more.
  6. Always be the bigger person. It will help you one way or another.
  7. It's better to be the one who smiled than the one who didn't smile back.
  8. Kindness matters. Say "thank you" when somebody holds the door open for you. And hold the door open for other people, too.
  9. Tips are important! Always tip and tip well; put yourself in your server's shoes.
  10. Your future self will thank you if you make a monthly budget and stick to it. Also, pay your bills as soon as you get them.
  11. If you start thinking you've had enough drink for the night, you probably had enough drinks for the night. You're not 16 anymore.
  12. It's always better to be overdressed, than underdressed.
  13. There's a special satisfaction in saving money to buy yourself nice things. Treat yourself once in a while!
  14. New shoes always hurt your feet, no matter how expensive they are or how comfortable they seem. Have Band-Aids in your bag.
  15. There's no point on keeping clothes that don't currently fit you (or that you haven't worn in years), give them away.
Happy New Year!

    1. I know! It can be really hard. But the way I see it is: if you get rid of clothes you don't currently wear, you can have more space for beautiful new pieces that you will actually wear! It's like rewarding yourself for cleaning :). Happy new year!
